Campus

I think there's worth to be had in learning to love my own photos as they are--straight out of the camera, no editing. I think it's also easier. And stems from my confusion about what software/program to use, now that Picnik has abandoned us.

I always enjoy your photography. Retouched photos are wonderful, especially when they achieve particular effects. However, I often enjoy untouched photos even more. There's a purity in them, and you have an eye for catching the right light and angles that makes them appear to be retouched.

I felt a bit crippled when Piknic disappeared, too. Then I discovered where it went. It's been absorbed by Google. You just need a Gmail/G+ account. Use the photo album tools that come with the account. You'll find all your Piknic editing tools there. The great thing is that the ones that were Premium are now free for all to use!

The angles and lines in that second shot are great.

When Picnik closed, I started using PicMonkey. Some of the same people are running that editing program.
